Water from the ditch was urgently sent for examination

In the Odessa region, the water in the Kuyalnytsia ditch turned bright red.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 28, according to the official site of the city of Odesa.

The substance of red-orange color of unknown origin and with a sharp smell was found out by employees of ME "City roads" who carried out planned works on clearing of the Kuyalnitsky ditch.

Police, SES, the Department of Ecology and Development of Recreational Areas and the district administration were promptly called to the place. Water samples have now been taken and sent for examination.

According to the Odessa City Council, the situation is under control. Details are being clarified.

Certificate. The Kuyalnytsia ditch is a specially designed hydraulic structure for drainage, rain and melt water from the city streets, part of the Romanian canal.
