While they are checking

The swimming season in the Lviv region has not officially started, so residents and guests of the region are stubbornly asked not to swim in the reservoirs for their own safety.

Swimming in the water bodies of the Lviv region is possible only after a proper check of the rescuers, the press service reported LOVA .

According to the order of the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration dated May 31, a list of places for mass recreation of the population at the water bodies of the region was approved. A total of 23 beaches have been identified for 17 water bodies.

According to the order, local authorities and local self-government in the Lviv region, with the involvement of representatives of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the region, should inspect water bodies regarding their safety.

Until June 15, the results of inspections must be formalized in the relevant acts. Only after the inspections are completed, it will be possible to say how many of the beaches determined by the list are ready for the safe summer holiday season at the water bodies of the Lviv region in 2022.

The day before EcoPolicy reported that the specialists of the public utility "Pleso", despite the martial law, carried out monitoring of the state of the water areas of the capital's beaches and found that the water quality in most of them was not up to standard.
