The industry needs constant legislation on the system of support for renewable energy producers, gradual repayment of debts and compliance with existing guarantees

Ukraine's leading RWE associations have called on the authorities to lift existing restrictions on payments to RWE producers, which have significantly reduced payments to producers for electricity supplied to the grid.

They also demand to ensure current payments at the highest possible level at the expense of funds available and received from the trading activities of the Guaranteed Buyer and the activities of NEC "Ukrenergo", according to the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine on Facebook.

Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UVEA), Ukrainian Renewable Energy Association (UAEA), European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) and Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (ACEA) addressed the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Minister of Energy of Ukraine.

They also call for continuing legislation on the support system for RWE producers, phasing out debt and adhering to existing guarantees provided to investors at the legislative level.

The appeal noted that despite shutdown and damage to a significant part of RES facilities, manufacturers continue to bear operating costs for the maintenance of stations, as well as other costs associated with the payment of staff salaries, taxes, support of the Armed Forces and the Armed Forces, as well as the fulfillment of its debt obligations in Ukrainian and international banks. In addition, RWE manufacturers who were forced to shut down stations due to fighting actions or as a result of the received damages of the generating equipment, did not receive payment for electricity sold in 2021 and for January-February 2022.

However, the "Guaranteed Buyer", as stated in the application, receives such an amount of funds that can provide payments to producers of RES in excess of 30% -35%.

We call for the destruction of the sector that is a priority of European energy policy today and for the trust of those investors who remain loyal to Ukraine, who seek to develop Ukraine's economy after the war and who are the basis of Ukraine's international image as an investment-attractive country" , it is spoken in the address.

RES producers also offered to hold a joint meeting and discuss further cooperation after consideration of proposals.

We will remind, in UVEA offered steps for the revival of RES in Ukraine

As EcoPolitics reported earlier, in Ukraine RWE enterprises are threatened with bankruptcy.
