In Vinnytsia, Ambar+ LLC, which produces flour and cereals, has installed 100 solar panels on its roof with a total peak capacity of 55 kV.

Thanks to the solar power plant, the company covers 10% of its energy needs, Vinnytsia Deputy Mayor Andriy Ocheretnyi reports on Facebook.

"The company is engaged in the production of products of the flour milling and grain industry. In fact, their uninterrupted work is the food security of both our community and the whole of Ukraine," he emphasized.

Ocheretny noted that Ambar+ invested 1.5 million hryvnias in SES. The company has now applied for compensation under the city's support program.

He added that this trend allows for the development of energy "islands" in the community, which is very important in case of blackouts.

"By developing the theme of renewable energy sources, we are actually creating a platform for the creation of one large energy island, where smaller ones are the drivers of the process, which can be self-sufficient if necessary," he said. reedy

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Vinnytsia, thanks to the city's support program, enterprises installed more than 10 MW of solar power plants for their own needs, which provided green energy for about 10% of consumption.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Vinnytsia a rooftop solar power plant with 140 panels at the "Nash Hlib Vinnytsia" bakery provided a third of the electricity needs.
