Cooperation with Poland will help Ukraine accelerate the implementation of European directives

The Minister of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ruslan Strelets together with the Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland Anna Moskva signed a Memorandum on strengthening cooperation in the field of environmental protection.

They agreed to exchange experience between our countries in the field of environmental protection, the press service of the Ministry of Environment said.

According to the ministry, Polish colleagues have already undergone environmental transformation. Now Ukraine will be able to adopt their experience.

"We have agreed with our Polish colleagues to synchronize our central executive bodies where we have common ideas and competencies. For Ukraine it is a transformation of environmental policy, new initiatives and new practices. For Poland - an opportunity to gain experience in times of environmental crisis. countries - an opportunity to improve climate policy, forestry, subsoil management, water resources, improve state environmental control," said Minister Ruslan Strilets.

The Ministry of the Environment noted that the Polish experience of forestry reform is one of the most successful in Europe, and the forestry system of the Republic of Poland is an example of sustainable management of state forests.

In addition, Ukraine and Poland have previously successfully implemented projects to preserve bison, a rare species of endangered bird.

It is noted that cooperation with Poland will help Ukraine accelerate the implementation of European directives and embark on the path of integration into the EU of our environmental policies in order to implement the transition to key green transformations as soon as possible.

Before EcoPolitics reported that Yavoriv National Nature Park received humanitarian aid for refugees from Roztocza National Park of Poland (Roztoczański Park Narodowy).

We will remind also that in the Polish city of Suwalki (Podlaskie voivodeship) more than 30 refugees from Ukraine cleaned the city park and boulevards - so they decided to thank the Poles for the shelter.
