Witnesses of arson are urged to report it to the police immediately

In the Zakarpattia region, in the village of Nevitske, in the Uzhhorod region, 269 subscribers were left without gas supply due to the burning of dry grass and bushes.

The event took place on Saturday, June 30, in the evening, reports the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Oblast on Facebook.

Rescuers extinguished the fire, but the fire managed to damage the medium-pressure gas pipeline Du90 mm. The emergency crews of the Uzhhorod branch of "Zakarpatgaz" are working to eliminate the consequences of the accident.

"Dear in Zakarpattians! Fires caused by drought pose a danger to the state, nature and people. If you witness an arson, immediately inform the police by calling 102 and record the crime and the criminal in a photo or video. If the arson escalated into a fire, report this information to the State Emergency Service by calling 101," the article urged.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Ukraine they will increase criminal responsibility for the burning of fallen leaves, stubble, etc., which provoked the destruction or damage of objects of the plant world.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the Volyn region, a resident of the village of Toykut was accused of arson, as a result of which the fire destroyed 14 hectares of forest in the "Panske" tract in the Kovel district. The arsonists faces punishment as a deprivation of liberty for a term of five up to ten years.
