The process of transferring movable property to the management of the Mezhigorye state memorial park, which was under arrest in the affairs of ex-president Yanukovych after the Revolution of Dignity, was completed.

This was reported by the administration of the institution on the park's Facebook page.

These assets are an integral part of the former residence and park complex.

An interdepartmental commission worked on the territory of the facility for 2 months. The result of her work was the signing of documents on the transfer of state property to the management of the Mezhigorye state memorial park. The total number of movable property inspected by the commission is more than 25 thousand units. It is located in 121 buildings and structures.

The largest object in terms of the number of movable property, which holds more than 3.6 thousand of its units, was the Honka Museum with a total area of 3100 square meters. m. It is the main building of the monument park and has 76 premises.

Also, in the process of work, the commission discovered more than 500 valuable objects of movable property that had not been described before.

Currently, the territory of the park complex is still closed to visitors, as organizational measures and technical checks are being carried out. In particular, employees of the tourist park together with doctors of veterinary medicine of the State Production and Consumer Service inspect the animals and birds that live in the park.

The special administration of the "Mezhihirya" monument park once again thanked all the activists who, since 2014, have become responsible for the preservation of the park complex by their own consent.

The managers emphasized that all employees who have been taking care of the park on a volunteer basis for many years have the opportunity right now on the territory of the park-monument to be officially employed in a state institution for positions in their areas of work.

The next stage in the organization of the full-fledged operation of the Mezhihirya state park-monument will be the transfer to the management of real estate (buildings) located on the territory.

The park administration emphasized that for the first time in 10 years, all profits from its operation will go to the state treasury.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in June 2023 the Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management recommended The Verkhovna Rada to adopt as a basis and as a whole the government draft law No. 9354 "On the creation of a park-monument of horticultural art of national importance "Mezhyhirya". The Verkhovna Rada approved it, returned Mezhyhirya to the state property and created a new object of the nature reserve fund. This decision initiated the process of transforming the former residence into a state park-monument of horticultural art of national significance.

Also Ecopolitics wrote that in May 2024 was planned to be completed nationalization of Mezhihirya park. We also informed that on April 29, the process of transferring assets to state management was to begin in the Mezhyhirya State Monument Park, but blocked by unknown persons entrance to the territory and prevented the members of the interdepartmental commission from starting the process of transferring seized property.
