The level of danger of hydrological phenomena – I (yellow)

In the Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv, the Dnipro River burst its banks and flooded Hydropark and Muromets Park.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration on Telegram.

It is noted that this year's floods have reached a record level, with the water in the Dnipro rising by 8 cm over the past day.

"As of April 24, 2024, the water level is 644 cm. The water temperature is 12 °C. The danger level of hydrological phenomena is I (yellow)," the press service reported.

It is noted that at the moment water logging in Kyiv does not pose a threat. No emergency flooding has been recorded in the city, and industrial facilities and residential areas of the city are out of danger.

The city administration reports that monitoring of this year's watering is ongoing.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, on the territory of the shallowed Kakhovsky reservoir, recorded return of water, which may be a manifestation of water logging in the lower reaches of the Dnipro River.
