In Kryvyi Rih, a project to increase the energy efficiency of public buildings has begun to be implemented, as part of which 16 kindergartens and a natural science lyceum will carry out in-depth measures to increase energy efficiency.

In the other 17 schools, one kindergarten and the "Young Aviator" club, individual heating points (ITP) will be installed, as well as old wooden windows and doors will be replaced, reports Kryvorizka City Council.

The project is implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The contract with the EBRD was signed back in 2019, but the project was suspended due to the war.

The message emphasized that 16 kindergartens and lyceums will carry out in-depth measures to increase energy efficiency, namely:

  • insulation of building structures;
  • replacing windows and doors with energy-efficient ones;
  • installation of ITP with weather regulation of the coolant;
  • additional energy-saving measures.

"Construction work has started in the kindergarten so that the children will be warm and cozy already this winter. After all, children and teaching staff must to be in comfortable conditions, and the energy efficiency of these facilities will make it possible to significantly save energy resources," said Acting city mayor Yuriy Vilkul.

"Such projects are extremely important for us, because after their successful implementation, budget institutions will consume less energy resources, less budget funds will be spent on paying for communal services, therefore, these funds can be directed to the thermal modernization of other socially significant objects," Vilkul emphasized .

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Ternopil, the project of warming and improving energy efficiency 39 kindergartens and schools began to be implemented.
