The company did not compensate the losses voluntarily

The commercial court of the Poltava region ordered the communal enterprise Vodokanal Plus from the city of Kobelyaka to compensate about 1.1 million hryvnias in damages.

The enterprise pumped water from 13 underground water wells without a special permit from the beginning of 2018 to 2020, the State Environmental Inspection reported on Facebook.

The press service emphasized that eco-inspectors discovered violations during an unscheduled inspection and presented claims to the CCP "Vodokanal Plus" regarding voluntary payment in the total amount of 1,091,141.55 hryvnias.

It is noted that the company did not compensate for the losses voluntarily, so the eco-inspectors turned to the Reshetyliv district prosecutor's office to protect the state's interests in court.

The message emphasized that the court satisfied the prosecutor's claim in full.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the court forced the state enterprise "Dubnovodokanal", located in the Rivne region, to compensate 1.6 million hryvnias in damages for the discharge of wastewater into the Ikva River. Eco-inspectors discovered violations in February 2020.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the Cherkasy region, the municipal enterprise of the city of Chhyryn compensated more than 403 thousand hryvnias in damages for taking underground water without a special permit. Violations were discovered in March 2020.
