In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops dismantled and stole Ukraine's largest solar power plant near the town of Tokmak.

About it with reference to locals reports Vlasti.net.

According to locals, solar panels have been dismantled, packaged and exported for a long time.

It is noted that Tokmak Solar Energy is the largest solar power plant in Ukraine. Its area reaches 96 hectares, which is equal to 100 football fields. The capacity of the station was 50 MW.

Later, the media denied this information. The latest Maxar satellite imagery taken two days ago shows that the solar panels are still in place. At least the recognizable shape of the power plant remains intact.

We will remind that in the city of Merefa, which is 30 kilometers from Kharkiv, the Russian troops with a missile strike against the night of May 28 destroyed the solar power plant.

We will add also that the executive director of Association of solar energy of Ukraine Artem Semenyshyn called the war in Ukraine opened in Russia also war against renewable energy.

Before EcoPolitics reported that in the city of Tokmak of the Zaporizhzhia region built Prydniprovska BioTPP on agricultural waste — sunflower husks and straw.

The capacity of the station is 8.6 MW of electricity and 24 MW of heat supply. Agricultural production will provide raw materials for the operation of thermal power plants, and the station will provide the company with cheaper electricity and heat, which will reduce production costs.
