Participation in it will help attract investors to the green recovery and reconstruction of our country

During the UN Climate Conference COP29, a new platform for interaction between countries and potential investors was announced – the Global Climate Club Platform. Ukraine has joined it.

This was reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine.

The ministry said that the Climate Club Global Platform is a support mechanism created to accelerate the decarbonization of high-emitting industries and promote zero- and low-emission industrial development in emerging and developing countries.

The platform will assist countries that want to access the latest technologies in finding international investors.

The global goal of the new platform is to contribute to the achievement of the global “net zero” and temperature targets set out in the Paris Agreement. To do this, they plan to use international cooperation, finance, and technology to help developing countries smoothly transition to zero- and low-emission technologies.

Ukraine's participation in this initiative will help attract international partners to the green recovery of our country.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, Ukraine presented 8 domestic eco-startups at the UN climate summit COP29. We also told that the World Bank has plans for the next 10 years allocation of $150 billion for financing climate projects. EcoPolitics also published photos, how the pavilion of Ukraine looks like at the climate conference COP29 and told what his concept was.
