The Ukrainian Association of Secondary Metals (UAVtormet) and the Austrian company Dobrowa Metalltechnik GmbH have signed an agreement on the exchange of experience with the aim of introducing military scrap processing and utilization technologies in Ukraine.
The agreement on cooperation on a number of strategic and topical issues was concluded with the full support of the Federal Chamber of Economics of Austria, reports press release Advantageaustria
"The main provisions of this Agreement are the cooperation of the Parties regarding the exchange of practical experience and experience in order to study and implement in Ukraine innovative technologies for processing and disposal of scrap ferrous and nonferrous metals formed as a result of disposal of military equipment," the statement said.
In addition, the agreement provides for the exchange of experience in the effective management of processes for processing and sale of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, as well as ways to increase the efficiency of foreign economic activity of the procurement and processing industries.
It is noted that the issues raised in the agreement are relevant and important for the economy of Ukraine during martial law and will be important drivers of restoration of industrial potential in the postwar period.
"The cooperation of the Parties in the framework of the activities of the authorized executive bodies (first of all, the Ministry of Strategic Industries, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine) will implement the main provisions of the agreement in the near future," the press release said.
Before EcoPolitics reported that the Ukrainian Association of Secondary Metals "UAVtormet" appealed to the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine with a request to regulate the disposal of scrap formed as a result of hostilities on the territory of the country.
