In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, the first municipal solar power plant with batteries was installed on the roof of a kindergarten in Dolyna "Teremok" .
The SPP was installed thanks to co-financing by the regional council and the community within the framework of the "Development of local self-government" program, reports Firtka.
Ivan Dyriv, the head of the Dolyna community, said that the topic of energy, energy security, energy independence and resource consumption during the war is extremely important. It is discussed both at the level of the state and at the level of communities.
He said that the capacity of the SPP was chosen based on the average consumption of the kindergarten.
"We can already see the process of generation and consumption," said Dyriv. – Of course, not all days are sunny. In this case, part of the electricity is taken from the network, and part from the station. This is already an economy."
He added that SPP will save hundreds of thousands of hryvnias from the budget, which can be directed to other projects. In addition, the station increased the energy independence of the community, which is especially relevant against the background of probable power outages.
"This is a certain guarantee that the children will be in comfortable conditions, that there will be electricity in the kindergarten," Dyriv said.
According to him, The valley plans to implement more several alternative energy projects.
