In Lutsk, the city authorities have started preparations for the construction of a waste processing plant.

Currently, the concept of the future enterprise is being developed, as well as the feasibility study and various options for the project proposal are being prepared, Lutsk Mayor Ihor Polishchuk reports on Facebook.

He said that the city authorities held a meeting with the directors of the communal enterprises "Lutskspecskomuntrans" and Green City, as well as representatives of the Polish company Control Process S.A.

It is noted that this company has already built 8 waste processing plants in Poland and is completing the construction of a plant in Lviv.

As Konkurent reports, the plant is planned to be built in the area of the landfill in the village of Bryshche. This will minimize logistics costs.

"We are planning to open a composting station, where organic waste will be made into fertilizers," said Volodymyr Martsenyuk, director of Lutskspecial Communtrans. We started making a feasibility study for the construction of a mechano-biological technology waste processing plant in the landfills of the village of Bryshche, where we have an allocated plot."

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the first stage of the first waste processing plant in Ukraine started operating in Zhytomyr, where the depth of processing currently reaches 40-45%.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, Lviv plans to complete the construction of a waste processing plant by the end of 2023.
