Sorting garbage is not only a matter of convenience, but also of preserving the environment

In the Kyiv region city of Obukhiv, children were given a tour of a waste sorting plant, the press service of the private enterprise Obukhivmiskvtorresursy reports on Facebook.

The company notes that waste sorting facilities are an important part of the waste recycling process.

"But do children know exactly how this system works? A tour of our enterprise becomes an exciting and useful experience for young researchers," the enterprise notes in the post.

The press service reports that the first thing they explain to children is the purpose of a waste sorting company.

"This is a place where the process of sorting waste by type takes place: plastic, glass, paper, metal, etc. Special machines and technologies are used here to separate garbage into components for further processing," the company adds.

The company emphasizes that sorting garbage is not only a matter of convenience, but also of preserving the environment. Correct sorting helps to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills, and also creates the possibility of reuse of materials, which contributes to the efficient preservation of the planet's resources.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Kyiv, at the Faculty of Plant Protection, Biotechnology and Ecology of NUBIP, a unique fandom for accepting plastic bottles and containers for collecting glass, paper and plastic were installed.
