Construction is tentatively planned to be completed by the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025 

On Plastova Street in Lviv, the construction of a complex for the processing of household waste continues. The degree of its readiness is estimated at 65%.

According to experts, the new enterprise will be able to process all household waste generated in Lviv per year – about 250 thousand tons. It will undergo mechanical and biological processing.

The head of the LCP "Green City" Alexander Egorov says that today a fairly large amount of equipment has already been delivered for ventilation installations, for electric generator installations, a significant amount of equipment is now leaving Turkey.

Director of the Department of Economic Development Inna Svistun assured that the total cost of the plant's construction has not changed – it remained at €35 million. Of these, €15 million are loan funds, €10 million is a grant from the Bank of Reconstruction and Development, and the remaining €10 million is a contribution cities

The remaining waste, which is 15% of all processed garbage, is planned to be sent to landfills for disposal, but where exactly is not yet known.

"At the moment, such a place has not yet been determined," comments Inna Svystun.

But RDF fuel will be sold to cement factories, says Oleksandr Egorov.

"There is already a signed memorandum with the cement plant in Ivano-Frankivsk, constant negotiations are underway," he added.
