In Kyiv, in 2022, municipal workers of Kyivzelenbud, despite the war, planted 4,750 trees and 53,000 bushes in parks, squares, boulevards and avenues of the city.
They also planted flowers, perennial and grass plants, reports Kyivzelenbud on Facebook.
"We succeeded because we did not stop our work from the beginning of the full-scale enemy invasion, our district enterprises worked harmoniously and without interruptions," the message said.
The press service emphasized that recently the workers of Kyivzelenbud planted 15 sycamore trees on the lower plateau in Volodymyrska hill park, which complement the alley and will gradually become the decoration of this place.
In the message, it was noted that patrons, including nurseries, businesses and social structures, also helped them in greening Kyiv.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that Kyivans for 8 months of full-scale war handed over 80 thousand cubic meters of waste for processing, which is equal to the content of 700 special garbage trucks. This waste is guaranteed not to end up in landfills, because it was taken to sorting lines and stations.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Kyiv, utility workers of the Darnytskyi district were sent to safety disposal of more than 700 used car tires.
