In Kyiv, communal workers of the Darnytskyi district sent over 700 used car tires for safe disposal.

These hazardous wastes have been decorating local yards as art objects for a long time, reports the Darnytsia District Administration of Kyiv.

Car tires were removed from Kanalna, Rudenko, Myshuga and Grigorenko avenues.

The report noted that such tires pose a danger to the environment and human health. After all, when they come into contact with water, soil or when heated by the sun's rays, they emit a mass of chemically active compounds that can cause serious diseases.

"Such measures will be carried out regularly, until the territory of Darnytskyi district is completely cleaned of harmful and dangerous rubber. Be safe in Darnytsia!" emphasized the authors.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in April 2022, in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, communal workers collected and removed for further disposal of used car tires.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Kyiv, you can hand over worn tires and tires made of tires for safe disposal, because this waste belonging to the 4th class of danger. Scientists believe that old tires are even more dangerous than exhaust gases.
