The organizers will tally the results of the 2022 cleaning day in Ukraine on October 1, 2022.

The article noted that the people of Kyiv actively participated in the initiative. Thus, KMDA and district state administrations held joint meetings with coordinators and actively prepared locations for safe cleaning during the month.

The community, together with utility workers and guests of the city, removed 1,628 tons of garbage at 42 locations in 10 districts of the capital. 1802 people simultaneously joined the event at different locations and 114 pieces of equipment were involved.

In addition, Ukrainians even abroad joined the international event to thank the host cities.

"One of the largest locations of Ukrainians abroad was organized in Barcelona, during which eco-conscious Ukrainians and Spaniards cleaned 5 local beaches of garbage within two hours. The Ukrainian community actively participated in the following countries: Poland, Germany, Italy, Ireland, the Czech Republic and others," the report said.
