It will not only dispose of garbage, but also become a powerful energy producer

Deputies of the Odesa City Council approved the development of a land management project for the allocation of a 4-hectare land plot to the Odesa City Heat Supply Utility for the implementation of a project to build a modern waste incineration plant that will produce electricity and heat.

This is reported by the telegram channel "Odesa. Officially" telegram channel.

Registration of land documentation will allow to start developing a construction project.

The city announced its intention to build an incinerator back in 2022. At that time, the deputies agreed on the "Heat Supply Scheme for the City of Odesa", which included the project for the construction of this plant. On June 26, at a session of the city council, Odesa's deputies enshrined these intentions in the approved City Development Strategy. Odesa residents, together with Japanese partners, are also developing a Master Plan for the restoration of Odesa.

"We have been working towards this for a long time, and today we have a clear understanding of where and how it should be.  This whole package of documents will be a significant argument for attracting investments," said Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov.

At the beginning of May, EcoPolitic reported that in Zakarpattia they plan to build 5 new waste processing plants.
