The owner of the plant returned to Ukraine to rebuild the enterprise

The "Eco Basket" factory destroyed by the Russians, which produces eco-packaging made of natural beech veneer, was restored in Borodyanka, Kyiv region.

This was done thanks to the "Own business" grant program, the Ministry of Economy reports on Facebook.

The message explained that in the spring of 2022, the enterprise was destroyed by Russian shells. Prior to that, the plant had been operating for about 13 years.

The owner of "Eco Basket" Olena Martyniuk said that she learned about the program in Poland, where she was evacuated from the war with her family.

"I was morally broken, but this news gave me an impulse. For me, this grant is not about money, but about returning to Ukraine. This is what brought me back," she shared.

Martyniuk added that after the application was approved, she returned to Borodyanka and resumed production.

It is noted that Ukrainians can apply for the YeRobota government grant program. The program supports both the opening and development of one's own business. Entrepreneurs, as well as people without business experience, can receive a grant.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, Borodyanka, in the Kyiv region, is planned to be rebuilt as one of the first new ecological towns, all systems of which will work on modern energy-efficient technologies.
