Preparatory work has begun in Khmelnytskyi region near Horodok for the construction of the Podillia-Horodok Carbon Neutral Eco-Agro Hub industrial park.
It will be an autonomous industrial eco-hub town with educational institutions, hotels, parking lots, elevators, and a shelter, reports Suspilne.
"Carbon neutral" already means that CO2 emissions will be minimal. About 70% of the products that will be produced in this park will be exported abroad. These products will be certified, produced exclusively on certified equipment with the highest standard of environmental protection. Therefore, in terms of ecology, it will be an ecological project, an ecological hub," said Artur Kosinskii, the first deputy mayor of Horodotsk.
He said that deep raw material processing enterprises will work in the industrial ecopark, namely:
- a plant for the production of unrefined and purified medical alcohol from corn;
- oil production plant;
- waste processing plant.
Kosinskii said that the industrial park will be built on the site of the filtration field of the former sugar factory on an area of 50 hectares. The concept of the park has already been approved by the Ministry of Economy. In 2023, after registration and selection of a management company, park participants will be involved. These can be both Ukrainian and foreign investors.
According to him, the design and construction of networks will begin in 2024. After that, the construction of plants, shops, factories, and the park itself will begin. It is likely that it will be possible to start production as early as 2026.
Kosinski added that the state motivates businesses to create such industrial parks by exempting them from some taxes. Business taxes will be paid to the local budget.
"This is, first of all, economic development, social development, jobs, infrastructure development, investment attraction. In addition, it is the development of small and medium-sized businesses that will develop around such a park. Therefore, the benefits here are obvious for everyone," he emphasized .
According to him, the construction will involve about 350 workers, and the entire industrial park will require about 500 workers.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, the first industrial eco-park HEMPY UA was created in the Dubno district of Rivne region, which will combine the production of various industrial hemp products.
