The plan of priority actions for 2023 includes environmental protection

At a meeting on Tuesday, March 14, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Government's Priority Action Plan for 2023, one of the key tasks of which is energy security.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized that special attention will be paid to the development of green energy and the implementation of the principles of the European green course, reports the Government Portal.

It is noted that currently the key task for Ukraine is the beginning of the restoration of the energy sector according to new standards, the construction of new facilities and the strengthening of the protection of existing ones. In addition, the government will work on increasing the capacity for import-export of electricity with EU countries.

"Special attention will be paid to the development of green energy. We plan to approve a long-term strategy for the development of hydrogen energy," Shmyhal said.

He noted that another important point of the Plan of Priority Actions is the restoration of Ukraine. Reconstruction in 4 directions, namely energy, housing, critical infrastructure and demining, will begin as early as 2023. According to preliminary estimates, the necessary amount reaches $17 billion. For this, they plan to use the "Financial Ramstein" format.

"The restoration of critical infrastructure will also involve its modernization," Shmyhal emphasized.

In addition, the Priority Action Plan for 2023 includes environmental protection.

"The Government's action plan consists of more than 500 tasks. These are draft laws, resolutions, programs and projects. These are positive changes for citizens and businesses. These are new reforms. This is the transformation of Ukraine. Already now. Not waiting for the end of this war. This is all for our victory For reconstruction. For a strong and renewed Ukraine," Shmyhal emphasized.
