Russian troops can destroy the dams of the Pecheneg hydroelectric plant

In Kharkiv region, there is a threat of catastrophic flooding of downstream territories due to systematic shelling of the dam of the Pecheneg reservoir.

Local residents were urged to follow official announcements 24 hours a day and prepare to move in case of an alarm, the head of the Pecheneg community Oleksandr Husarov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He explained that russian troops can destroy dams of the Pecheneg hydroelectric plant.

In the case of in the event of an emergency, residents of the community should take essential items and move:

  • Pechenegy settlement, from Berehova, Kharkivska, Rybna, Sosnova streets and ave. Rybny, – on st. Zinchenko (district of the former eight-year school);
  • the village of Kytsivka, from Gogolya Street, up the hill to the area of ​​the cemetery;
  • the village of Pyatnitske, from Dyomina street, on the hill of the village, closer to the forest.

As is known, the Pecheneg reservoir regulates the flow of the upper part of the Siversky Dinets basin, maintains its water level for water supply in the city of Kharkiv.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Kryvyi Rih, environmental activists of DTKR took water samples from the Ingulets river, which the other day became red after shelling hydraulic structures by the russians. The water is recognized as relatively safe.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, on September 14, russian troops bombarded the city of Kryvyi Rih with 8 Kinjal and Iskander cruise missiles, which damaged the dam of the Karachuniv reservoir. Due to this, the water level in the Ingulets river began to rise, 112 private houses were flooded, and about 5,000 families were left without water supply.
