The sale of electricity would partially cover the "green" tariff

Former Minister of Energy Oleksiy Orzhel, saying that Ukraine could start exporting electricity in a surplus day year, if the largest number of solar generation.

Let's allow you to take away additional costs, which is especially important at a time of low liquidity and an important situation in the energy sector, let's say ExPro.

Vin pіdkresliv, scho already in the fiercest in the energy system, there were surplus years, through which it was possible to interleave the generation at the sleepy power plants.

“Due to the fact that we have greatly reduced consumption due to the war and the specifics of our balance, there are surpluses, especially during the hours of activity of solar generation. It would be very good if additional funds could be obtained from the European markets, given the low liquidity and difficult situation in the energy sector," Orzhel said.

For this reason, it would be logical to sell electricity from RES for export, with an eye on the need for payment of bills for the green tariff.

"If we talk about the logic of exports during the "daytime" hours, when there is a lot of sun, then mostly this money should be received by solar generation. Since there are certain obligations from the state under the green tariff, and 100% payment of the debt to RES is still not in sight," he noted.

Orzhel added that the sale of electricity would partially cover the green tariff.

As EcoPolitic reported before, the state enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer" has developed proposals for changes to the law on the electricity market, which will allow to export green electricity to the EU.
