In total, more than 3.4 million hryvnias losses were estimated

Last week, violators of environmental legislation paid a fine of more than 1.4 million hryvnias to the state budget.

It was reported on Monday, June 27 by press service  of State Ecological Inspectorate of Ukraine (SEI).

According to the SEI,  last week the territorial and interregional territorial bodies of the SEI carried out 27 control measures and drew up 148 protocols on administrative offenses.

As a result, for violation of environmental legislation, environmental inspectors estimated the damage in the amount of more than 3.4 million hryvnias.

However, less than a third - more than 1.4 million hryvnias were paid to the state budget voluntarily and compulsorily.

The inspectors found the most resonant violation in the Vinnytsia region at the Ladyzhyn Reservoir of the Southern Bug River near the village of Zyankivtsi, Tulchyn District.

Employees of the Vinnytsia SEI calculated the losses in the amount of UAH 1.46 million for illegal fishing of aquatic living resources by citizens, prohibited fishing gear (nets) during Operation Spawning 2022. The statement about the commission of a criminal offense was sent to the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Meanwhile, Prydniprovskyi district specialists calculated the amount of damages and filed a claim against citizens in the amount of almost 619,000 hryvnias for illegal felling of trees outside the settlement in the Krylivska Posadka forest protection zone near the village of Zaporizhzhya in the Pryyutivka village council of Oleksandriia district.

Before EcoPolitics reported that management of the SEI with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine discussed areas of work during martial law and the postwar period to avoid undue pressure on business.
