The citizens' struggle for this green zone has been going on for more than 4 years

On April 25, the Volyn District Administrative Court canceled the construction permit for Kontaktbudservice LLC on the territory of the Osokorky Ecopark.

This was reported by activists of the Osokorky Ecopark NGO on Facebook.

According to them, in its decision, the court noted that the construction work was carried out in the absence of legal grounds and in violation of the law.

“Our case was transferred to Lutsk by automatic distribution after the corrupt Kyiv District Administrative Court was disbanded in 2022. And this is what happens when an unbiased judge makes a decision: the law wins, not the developer,” the activists emphasized.

They say that it is only a matter of time before they finally protect “this unique natural pearl of Kyiv.”

The NGO “Ecopark Osokorky” warned that the court decision canceled the permit for the construction of the H2O residential complex, which was supposed to be built on the territory of the Ecopark.

Therefore, any offers to buy apartments in this residential complex are illegal and can be qualified as fraud.

“Investing in illegal construction is a deliberate complicity in a crime. Anyone who ignores obvious violations is responsible for it,” they emphasized.

The activists thanked everyone who has defended and continues to defend the Osokorky Ecopark with them. They expressed special gratitude to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, whose courage and sacrifice enable them to continue the fight for nature, for Kyiv, and for the future of Ukraine.

We remind you that in March 2021, the public organization Ecopark Osokorky appealed to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi over the planned destruction of lakes in Kyiv, as well as more than 200 hectares of wetlands, meadows and forest. In April of the same year, Kyiv environmental activists gathered for a large information rally on the sands to save the Osokorky Ecopark. In December 2021, we talked about the legal war for natural areas between the developer and environmental activists.
