In Mykolaiv, environmental inspectors have discovered pollution of the coast of the Bug Estuary in the Namiv neighborhood with oil products, the concentration of which exceeded the permissible limits by 6 times.

Probably, the black foam on the coast was formed by soot from the asphalt plant of Doroga Service LLC, the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the plant is located on the opposite bank of the Bug estuary. During the inspection of the location, environmental inspectors observed the emission of black smoke at the enterprise.

"Taking into account the direction of the wind and weather conditions, the soot from the emissions could settle on the water surface and reach the opposite shore with the foam," the report says.

Eco-inspectors will hand over the materials regarding the detected pollution to law enforcement agencies for further action.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in September in the Sumy region in the Chernechchyn community there was an emergency oil spill due to which 250 m2 of land in the forest belt on the corn field was contaminated.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in March in Lviv Oblast, on the territory of Stryi District, tens of tons of oil products, namely, transformer oil, got into the Dniester River and the reclamation canal.
