Rescuers have already pumped out 60 tons of oil

In Lviv region, on the territory of Stryi District, tens of tons of oil products, namely transformer oil, got into the Dniester River and the reclamation canal.

The employees of the separate division "Western Energy System" of NEC Ukrenergo, from the territory of which the leak occurred, did not take any measures to eliminate it, the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration reports on Facebook.

It is noted that 5 reed barriers were installed on the canal and the old Dniester river to prevent oil products from entering the river. In addition, employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine installed protective tanks in 3 places and pumped out 60 tons of oil.facebook.com/ekologialoda

The authors emphasized that specialists of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine conducted an analysis of drinking water from private wells in the village of Zhuravno. No excess of polluting substances was found, sanitary indicators are normal.

It is noted that due to the rise of the water level on February 28, part of the oil products that settled on the bushes again entered the reclamation channel, the waters of which enter the Dniester River. Liquidation of the leakage of petroleum products continues.
