On Tuesday, June 27, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held via video conference at 10:30 a.m.

People's deputies will consider the government bill No. 9354 "About creation of a park-monument of horticultural art of national importance "Mezhihirya ", in respect of which the eco-committee is designated as the main one.
In addition, at the meeting of the eco-committee, issues related to:
- implementation of state climate policy in Ukraine;
- letter of the Cabinet of Ministers on the progress and results of implementation of national programs in 2021-2022;
- consequences of flooding in the Carpathian region;
- appeal of citizen Lychyk G.I. regarding the need to develop a draft law aimed at establishing the obligation of relevant bodies to detect and record the facts of natural drying up of small rivers or other water bodies.
Earlier, EcoPoliotic wrote, that it took place on June 12 away meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on issues of environmental policy and nature management in the Kherson Region regarding overcoming the negative impact on the environment and livelihood systems of the population as a result of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, the Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt in the second reading and as a whole the government's draft law No. 8410 "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Environmental Impact Assessment", which has been widely criticized by the public.
