Children joined in saving the bird

In Volyn, in the Lyubeshiv district, employees of the State Protection Service of the Pripyat-Stokhid National Nature Park rescued an injured swan.

The bird was taken to the Lyubeshivsk abattoir, after which it was released into the Stokhid River, the Facebook page of the national park said.

The authors said that the bird was found in the forest by local residents. He could not take off and needed immediate help.

The report emphasized that after the veterinarian examined the swan and provided the necessary assistance, it was released into the river. The bird was immediately able to weave and drink water.

"Little activists who helped save the swan joined the rescue of the feathered bird," the message shared.

The area of the national park reaches 39,315.5 hectares. A characteristic feature of the park's rivers is the presence of dozens of arms, channels, backwaters, old rivers, among which there are many swampy and sandy islands.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Kamin-Kashir district of the Volyn region, a resident of the village of Zaliznytsia arbitrarily occupied 0.4 hectares of the territory of the Pripyat-Stokhid National Nature Park and built an artificial reservoir on it.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, bright tropical birds of the sivoraksha flew to the national natural park "Tuzlivski lymani" on the coast of the Black Sea in Odesa to nest.
