The main task of rebuilding cities lies with local self-government

A study by analysts from the DiXi Group showed that only 25.7% of Ukrainians support the green reconstruction of the country.

This indicates the importance of discussing the initiative with territorial communities, because they will play an important role in the recovery of the country, the organization's Facebook page says.

President of the analytical center DiXi Group Olena Pavlenko emphasized that if you do not pay for energy efficiency now, then you will have to pay much more for the energy consumed later.

"Even with a cool strategy climate plan (NECP), we need to create strong institutions that can implement it. If reconstruction is carried out centrally through 1-3 ministries, our local governments may be left out of this reconstruction. In fact, they are the main task reconstruction of cities," she said.

The report emphasized that despite this, 95% of Ukrainians consider it important to restore nature after the war.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Kyiv region can become a pilot for participation in the European Union's initiative regarding the green reconstruction of the Phoenix cities.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the study showed that almost 40% of Ukrainians consider mining of agricultural land, radiation contamination and water pollution to be the most critical problems.
