In the pre-election program, Sokha promised to seek the liquidation of unnecessary state bodies

EcoPolitics gathered facts about the environmental activities of the new member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management, People's Deputy of the "Sluga Narodu" party, Romana Sokha.

Before the Eco Committee, he was a member of the VRU Committee on issues of digital transformation.

Sokha from graduated from the Zaporizhia State Engineering Academy and the Zaporizhia National Technical University with a degree in "Finance" and worked in managerial positions in financial institutions.

In 2019, he was elected a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation from the "Sluga Narodu" party for electoral district #75 (Zaporizhia region). Member of the "Servant of the People" party and the faction of the same name.

Soha has not spoken publicly on environmental issues.

Fulfilled promises:

  • in the pre-election program, he promised to personally introduce a draft law on the introduction of declaration by officials and members of their families not only of income, but also of expenses;
  • in the pre-election program, he promised to personally introduce a draft law on amendments to the tax code and the introduction of a one-time "zero declaration" for businesses.
