EcoPolitics gathered facts about the activities of the new member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management, People's Deputy of the "Sluga Narodu" party, Valentyna Korolenko.

She became a people's deputy 29 in August 2022, taking the place Artem Mykhailiuk, who refused the mandate.

Korolenko received a master's degree in ecology from Kryvyi Rih Technical University. She also studied "Law" at the Center for Customs Affairs and Postgraduate Education of the Academy of the Customs Service of Ukraine and at the Dnipropetrovsk National University named after Oles Honchar, majoring in "Finance and Credit".

As Ukrainian Pravda reported, she worked in various positions in the Kryvyi Rih and Dnipro customs offices.

During the tenure of the People's Deputy, Korolenko became one of the initiators of draft law no 8093 "On mobilization preparation and mobilization" and the draft Resolution No. 8075 "On the Address of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union regarding the deepening of economic cooperation and the extension of temporary measures on trade liberalization".

On October 5, 2022, she became a member of the Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management.
