Specialists of the Operational Headquarters calculated almost 118 million hryvnias of damage to the atmospheric air from the September shelling of the oil depot in Kryvyi Rih.
The fire, which lasted 16 hours, destroyed about 2,000 tons of diesel fuel and 5 tanks for its storage, Olena Kryvoruchkina, chief coordinator of the Operational Headquarters, writes on Facebook.
She noted that if the rescuers had not managed to extinguish the fire in such a period, it would have had critical consequences for the city.
Kryvoruchkina emphasized that the area of the littered plot of land reaches 143 m2, and the area of possible contamination is 819 m2.
"We will make every effort to compensate the environmental damage caused by the aggressor," she emphasized.
Damage caused by Russian attacks is calculated separately for soil, air, and water resources.
