There are no restrictions for them, said the chairman of NEC

Operators of renewable energy power plants (RES) will be able to export their products to the European energy market, if permitted by Ukrainian law.

This statement was made by Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of NEC Ukrenergo, at a press conference held on June 8.

Nobody can ban them (operators. — Ed.) еo do this, they must leave the balance market of the state-owned company "Guaranteed Buyer". then the price in European markets is much higher than the "green tariff" for most power plants," said Kudrytsky.

Given this, he said, it can be expected that if new power plants are built that no longer have the right to a "green tariff", they will actively try to export their electricity.

"Maybe some active operators of renewable power plants will want to work independently. We'll see. For them, in principle, there are options, because everyone can access the intersection. There are no restrictions, you need to register on the platform as an auction participant and win," explained the head of NEC "Ukrenergo".

Before EcoPolitics reported that SE "Guaranteed Buyer" is interested in exporting electricity, which is produced from renewable energy sources and is working on changes to the legislation that would allow it to do so.
