In half a year, losses totaling UAH 32.6 million were collected

In Ukraine, during the week from August 5 to 11, 2022, violators of environmental legislation paid more than 4 million hryvnias to the state budget.

Damages were reimbursed voluntarily and forcibly due to court decisions, the State Inspectorate reports on Facebook.

During this period, eco-inspectors of territorial and interregional territorial bodies of the SEI conducted 36 environmental protection measures and 91 protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up.

They calculated 1.8 million hryvnias in damages for violating the requirements of environmental protection legislation.

In the material, it was noted that during the first half of 2022, SEI specialists calculated the losses caused to the state at a total of almost 742.8 million hryvnias.

In addition, damages for violation of the requirements of environmental protection legislation were collected for a total of 32.6 million hryvnias in six months.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions during the first half of 2022, violators of the requirements of environmental protection legislation caused damage to the environment for the total amount of 50.8 mln UAH.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Sumy region, the Buryn elevator paid 3,879,580 hryvnias in damages for excessive emissions of pollutants into atmospheric air from stationary sources during 9 months in 2017.
