In Ukraine, the National Decarbonization Platform (NDP) is being prepared for launch, which will become a key tool for Ukraine's energy-efficient transformation.

The platform will act as a multifunctional tool for municipalities, businesses, households, etc. from anywhere in the country, the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving reported on Facebook.

"A green university, energy-efficient technologies, financing, project support – we are preparing all this for Ukrainians on the first National Decarbonization Platform in Ukraine," stressed the head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency, Hanna Zamazeyeva.

It is noted that the NDP was developed by specialists of the department and the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, together with American partners from Uprisun Technology.

The message emphasized that the Platform will help every user from anywhere in Ukraine – municipalities, businesses, ordinary households – to choose the most effective modern energy-efficient or green solution for themselves on preferential terms, with the support of the state, with the participation of world industry leaders.

It is noted that NDP will become available to the first users already at the end of 2023. A large-scale launch of services within the framework of the platform for municipal and private organizations, households, and individuals is planned for the first half of 2024.

As reported by EcoPolitics earlier, in April, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the second reading and in its entirety the government draft law No. 8433 "On the use of funds from accounts for the support of Ukraine", which provides for the creation of a State Fund for decarbonization and energy-efficient transformation. The fund will be operational from January 1, 2024. In May, the document was signed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
