In the Kyiv region, 10 kW solar panels have been installed in the Dzhereltse preschool department of the Irpin Gymnasium Osvita.

The solar power plant will help ensure uninterrupted power supply, the Irpin City Council reports on Telegram.

It is noted that the SPP was installed as part of the implementation of the signed Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership between the World Wind Energy Association, the Irpin Restoration Fund, and the Irpin City Council.

"The team of the Irpin Restoration Fund thanks the international partners of the Hero City of Irpin and partner energy associations for their constant assistance to the Irpin community," the message reads.

According to the information system of education management (ISUO), 73 children attend the kindergarten. In addition, it employs 21 people.

As you know, this is not the first similar project in Kyiv region. Thus, in the village of Gorenka, in the Buchansky district, a solar power plant with a capacity of 11 kW was installed on the roof of the kindergarten "Kazka". SES should be installed by the end of February.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that 18 kindergartens were selected as winners of the "Solar Energy for Children" contest in Ukraine, which are equipped with solar systems for an uninterrupted supply of hot water throughout the year. One of the winners was nursery-kindergarten No. 5 "Sonechko" in Fastov, Kyiv region.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Ivano-Frankivsk region in Dolyna, the first communal solar power plant with batteries was installed on the roof of the "Teremok" kindergarten.
