About 50,000 dolphins have died in the Black Sea since the beginning of the full-scale invasion

In Odesa, employees of the national nature park Tuzlivski Lymani noticed a pod of bottlenose dolphins in the waters of the Black Sea.

These are the first dolphins that, despite the war, have returned after hibernation, reports ecologist and biologist of the national park Ivan Rusev on Facebook.

He explained that usually during this period dolphins appear in the sea waters of the northwestern part of the sea.

Rusev emphasized that employees monitor the coast of the national park every day. In particular, they are monitoring whether new dead dolphins washed ashore. After all, there is still a risk of death of animals from the influence of Russian warships and submarines. So far, no new victims of the war have been found.

He emphasized that from About 50,000 dolphins died in the Black Sea after the start of a full-scale invasion.
