In Ukraine, in 2022, more than 10,000 entrepreneurs received environmental certificates from the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources in online format on the EcoSystem platform.
This made it possible to save almost 92 million hryvnias in indirect costs, in particular for travel, paper, printing, consulting, etc., as well as to complete the procedure in about 5 minutes instead of 2 months, the Ministry of Environment reports on Facebook.
The analysis conducted by specialists of the Ministry of Environment, the State Regulatory Service and the USAID Program "Competitive Economy of Ukraine" showed that there are currently 127 approvals or permits in the field of environmental protection in Ukraine. Of these, 38 are ineffective and therefore require cancellation.
"I note that we are not talking about giving up what the state desperately needs, but about inventorying novelties that were introduced many years ago, but today are unsustainable. At the same time, we are going even further and making what we leave behind as simple as possible for business," said Yevgeny Fedorenko, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.
He emphasized that currently 9 out of 29 services in the field of environmental protection on "EkoSystem" have already been digitized. Of them, 5 are provided entirely in the "peopleless" format, that is, without the participation of an official at all.
It is noted that "EkoSystem" is used by 25,000 entrepreneurs, who submitted 65,500 requests for online services.
"We are not resting on our laurels and have ambitious plans. In 2023, the e-Cabinet of the entrepreneur will be launched at EcoSystem. All useful environmental information will be available in it. But most importantly, the business will be able to work even faster, receive online services and submit reports. Therefore, we continue to work on digital deregulation of the sphere of environmental protection," Fedorenko stressed.
He also added that the Ministry of Environment wants modern, transparent relations between the state, business and the public to operate in the environmental sphere.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Ukraine, 50 entrepreneurs received information about background concentrations of pollutants in atmospheric air online on the EcoSystem platform. They spent close to 4 minutes to receive administrative services, which was previously provided by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources in 90 days.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, entrepreneurs in Ukraine will be able to issue special permits for the use of subsoil online, in the electronic cabinet of the subsurface user on the "EkoSistema" platform.
