Eco-activists have prepared tips for saving traffic

Ukrainians were urged, in addition to electricity, to save Internet traffic, because during emergency and emergency shutdowns mobile communication stations also lose their power source.

The signal is redirected to the next "tower", which increases the risks of "putting down" a connection that already lacks power, reports the environmental protection organization "Ekoklub" on Facebook.

The material explained that during power outages, the stations function thanks to autonomous batteries. However, their work is enough for only 1-1.5 hours.

The authors noted that after the batteries are discharged, the signal is transmitted to another "tower", but it does not have enough channels for all subscribers. People will not be able to use the mobile Internet, call or send SMS.

In order to save "communication" in the material, we advised:

  • refuse to watch the video in any quality;
  • disable auto-download of content;
  • communicate via SMS.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that Ukrenergo introduces tougher and longer emergency blackouts in Kyiv and regions, because Russia again attacked critical energy infrastructure facilities.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, specialists of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection have prepared TOP tips for Ukrainians about how to make a smartphone energy efficient, which will help you stay connected longer, especially in critical situations.
