Eco-inspectors during the week – from November 18 to 24, 2022, – calculated more than 1.75 million hryvnias of damage caused to the environment by violators of environmental legislation.
During this time, they conducted 42 control measures and drew up 122 protocols on administrative offenses, reports State Environmental Inspection on Telegram.
The report emphasized that the most high-profile violation was found in the Vinnytsia region. Eco-inspectors "caught" a poacher on the South Bug River within the Ladyzhinsky Reservoir near the village of Zyankivtsi. He was presented with a claim for the total amount of over 980 thousand hryvnias.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the eco-inspectors calculated more than 1.5 billion hryvnias in damages to the environment of Ukraine caused by violators of environmental protection legislation for 10 months of 2022. During this time, about 8,800 violators paid more than 2.9 million hryvnias to the state budget.
As EcoPolitic previously reported, poachers in Ukraine in 9 months of 2022 caused damage to the environment in the amount of more than 41 million UAH. Since the beginning of the year, eco-inspectors have conducted about 500 measures and drawn up more than 2,000 administrative protocols against violators of environmental legislation.
