In the Verkhovna Rada, People's Deputy Oleksandr Danutsa registered the project of Resolution No. 8258 "On the development of hydrogen energy in order to ensure the economic and energy security of Ukraine."
The document is designed to provide a legal basis for the development of hydrogen energy and the development of an appropriate regulatory and legal framework, reports Energy under the dom on Telegram.
In the explanatory note to the Resolution, it was emphasized that such a base will regulate the production and use of hydrogen for national energy needs and its export to the EU.
The document suggests that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine take measures to:
- development of draft amendments to normative legal acts on the development of hydrogen energy and submit them for consideration by the Parliament and the Government;
- analysis of current legislation, primarily in the field of hydrogen storage and transportation through gas networks;
- ensure the development and implementation of technical standards, regulations on the production and supply of hydrogen.
The Resolution also recommends:
- to the President of Ukraine to form the Advisory Council on the Development of Hydrogen Energy as a consultative and advisory body under the President of Ukraine;
- The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) should take measures aimed at increasing the effectiveness of state policy in the field of ensuring energy security in relation to the development of hydrogen energy and its implementation period, etc.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, Ukrhydroenergo presented a pilot project of production of green hydrogen on the basis of the hydroelectric power station "DniproHES", the nominal capacity of which will be 1 MW.
