Collected caps are manually sorted by children and adults

In Kropyvnytskyi, the Goncharenko Center team initiated the collection of plastic bottle caps for further processing.

Then the caps sorted by color are sent for processing to Precious Plastic Ukraine in Odessa. The collection and sorting of caps was discussed at facebook page Goncharenko Center.

“We are doing this so that our colleagues can create a variety of necessary products from caps, in particular, these boxes, which are used by the Feed the Patriots volunteer community @dobromyrkrop to sort dry vegetables during the packaging of soups and borscht,” the message says.

It should be noted that in the Odessa recycling center Precious Plastic Ukraine, various useful and beautiful things are made from recycled plastic - from key rings to benches. Among them are bright convenient boxes for vegetables, which are used by the Feed the Patriots volunteer community to sort dry vegetables during the packaging of soups and borscht.

Volunteers from "Feed the Patriots" pack up dry soups and borscht for the soldiers of the Ukrainian army. They will be transported to the military to the front, residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Lugansk and Donetsk regions. If there is a request, also for residents of the northern regions, in which, as a result of the bombing by the Russian army, there is no electricity and gas supply.

Therefore, citizens are encouraged to bring plastic caps from bottles to the Goncharenko Center - this is both help for volunteers and less environmental pollution with plastic.

You can bring plastic caps every Saturday from 11:00 to 16:00 to the Goncharenko Center at Bolshaya Perspektivnaya Street, 4a (entrance is on the right side of the building).

“We collect only caps from plastic bottles, please don’t bring rubbish. Then the children will sort out the hand-collected ones,” said the director of the center, Victoria Talashkevich.

In particular, the last such color sorting of plastic caps took place last Saturday, June 4th. During the event, children and adults sorted several thousand caps by color and suitability for further processing.

Before EcoPolicy reported that The Good Plastic Company is expanding production of plastic panels from recycled materials for furniture and interior items.

Recall also that the Ukrainians were told how sort plastic caps .
