In Kryvyi Rih, the Ingulets Mining and Processing Plant (InMPP) of the Metinvest Group replaced a smoke extractor capable of cleaning the air at the crushing plant with a more powerful one.
The aspiration equipment at the enterprise has been updated within the framework of the 2022 environmental program, reports Metinvest Media .
According to the company, the new D-20 smoke extractor, manufactured by the Kyiv Ventilation Plant, ensures trouble-free operation of the aspiration and technical installation (ATI) and allows to improve working conditions in the working area of the well of the first and second stages of grinding.
"The smoke extractor removes air directly from reloading units, conveyors and crushers and sends it further to the primary and secondary purification system of ATI, - the company explains the principle of operation of the equipment are discharged into industrial effluent. Purified air is returned to the atmosphere".
Unlike previous equipment, the D-20 smoke extractor has more power and can remove up to 137,000 cubic meters of raw air per hour.
Another advantage of the new equipment is the improved bearing lubrication system. The oil bath here has been replaced by a bearing assembly with thick oil, which is a more long-term and economical option.
The assembly work was carried out by a contractor under the supervision of a crushing plant specialist and environmentalists. After installing the smoke extractor in the factory, it passed the mandatory tests and adjustments, which showed positive results.
On the eve EcoPolitics reported that the Ingulets Mining and Processing Plant installed a hydrocyclone , which cleans the air of solid particles formed as a result of overloading the ore on the conveyor belts.
