Members of the Lutsk condominium association "Renaissance 7" have successfully carried out a large-scale energy modernization of their 5-storey building, which reduced energy consumption by more than 50%.

This was reported by the Energy Efficiency Fund.

The main energy modernization measures were:

  • insulation of facades and attics;
  • balancing of the heating system;
  • replacement of windows in common areas (MZK) and apartments, etc.

The results were impressive: the total saving of energy resources amounted to more than 1.8 thousand kWh/year. This made it possible to reduce energy consumption by more than 50%.

"Thanks to energy modernization, our heating bills have halved, and the apartments have become warm and comfortable. This is a truly tangible result for every resident," says the chairman of the board of the "Renaissance 7" condominium Raisa Bayda.

She said that it was difficult to convince all the co-owners, as difficulties arose even with the choice of the color of the house. It also took time to collect all the necessary documents and find executors, she shares. But the result, according to the chairman, exceeded all the residents' expectations.

It is worth noting that the Lutsk City Council also took part in the financing of the energy modernization project of the "Renaissance 7" condominium building. She allocated UAH 2 million to residents under the city program.

Key indicators of the project

  • The total cost of the project: UAH 31.9 million.
  • Pre-calculated total amount of the grant: UAH 22.3 million.
  • Own contribution of co-owners: UAH 9.6 million.
  • Declared annual savings:
    • in funds: UAH 2,605 thousand/year;
    • in energy: 1,841 thousand kWh/year;
    • reduction of energy consumption: more than 50%.
  • Savings for co-owners:
    • average annual cost savings for one apartment (with an area of 60 m²): more than 13,000 UAH/year
    • cost of activities for each apartment: more than 700 UAH/sq.m. m.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that at the end of September EcoPolitic told about another Lutsk condominium – "Blue House-43" – which carried out thermal modernization of his forty-year-old house under the state program "Energodim" and received savings of energy resources of about 50% and significantly lower payments for heating. Also, at the beginning of November, we reported on a similar case in Zhytomyr – in the condominium "Vulik-21".
