Environmental inspectors calculated more than 10.8 million hryvnia in losses in the Dnipropetrovsk region for cutting down 1819 trees in a shelterbelt on the territory of the Novopilsky village council of the Krivoy Rog region.
This is the most resonant violation of the requirements of environmental legislation for the week from March 3 to March 9, the State Environmental Inspectorate reports on Telegram.
The message said that at present the identity of the perpetrators has not been established. The materials of the case were handed over to law enforcement officers.
It is noted that the second largest environmental violation was found in the Kyiv region. Thus, Eco-Invest and K LLC caused losses in the amount of about 1.4 million hryvnias for emissions of pollutants into the atmospheric air without permission.
The press service said that during the week, environmental inspectors carried out 79 environmental measures and drew up 151 protocols on administrative offenses. The total amount of fines imposed is UAH 36,000, and UAH 30,000 has been collected to the State Budget.
“In general, losses in the amount of 13 million 9 thousand hryvnias were calculated for violation of the requirements of environmental legislation. The total amount of claims and lawsuits filed is UAH 1,665,000. Damages were collected on a voluntary and compulsory basis in the amount of 1 million 429 thousand hryvnia, ”the message says.
Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Dnipro region became the anti-leader in terms of the scale of environmental violations in February 2023, where the Dnieper River was polluted with sewage for about 3.5 million hryvnias.
