So far, the project is on pause

UFuture is implementing a 300 MW wind farm project in western Ukraine. Partners in Europe will be sought for its implementation.

The founder of UFuture Vasyl Khmelnytsky told about it in an exclusive interview to the agency Interfax-Ukraine.

"When the war is over, we will build green energy. We have a 300 MW wind farm project, it was almost ready before the war. It is located in the West of Ukraine. We will not pull it ourselves, we will look for a partner. This is my strategy, I love to do business with partners who understand something better than me. Among our partners in the green energy are Qataris and Spaniards. Therefore, I think we will attract and build some Europeans," said the businessman.

He emphasized that the project will begin after the war. As the businessman explained, while the war is going on, it is impossible to look for a partner, because the insurance risks are not covered.

It is noted that in May 2021, investment and development UDP Renewables closed an agreement with Qatari Nebras Power to sell a controlling stake in five solar stations: "Scythia-Solar-1" (13 MW), "Scythia-Solar-2" ( 33 MW), "Free Energy Genichesk" (18.3 MW), "Terslav" (19.7 MW) and "Sun Power Pervomaisk" (6.5 MW). At the same time, a new focus was voiced on the development of UDP wind power capacity, the strategic goal of which is to increase electricity production to 700 GWh in 2023.

The strategic investor of UDP Renewables is Vasyl Khmelnytsky's holding company UFuture, which has a diversified portfolio of assets in real estate, infrastructure, industry, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals and IT. UFuture's assets are valued at $ 500 million. The total capitalization of the businesses it has invested is up to $ 1 billion.

Last year EcoPolitic wrote that the group of companies MCL, which is engaged in the development of electricity generation facilities from renewable energy sources, is preparing project of construction in the Rivne region of a wind power plant with a capacity of 72 MW for the production of green hydrogen.

Also, the Turkish company Eksim Energy will build wind power plant with a capacity of 67.2 MW near the town of Skole, Lviv region.
